The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources featured Lions Pride Park as DCNR Grant Success Story. DCNR supported the park with a $425,000 grant funded by the Keystone Recreation, Park, and Conservation Fund. The Grants are awarded to hep communities build connections between citizens and the the outdoors through local recreation and park improvements.
Funding priority is given to projects that implement elements of Pennsylvania’s 2020–2024 Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan, which prioritizes five core areas of focus, including health and wellness, sustainable management of natural resources, and recreation for all — regardless of age, income, or ability.
